Privacy Policy

Easy Beauty Inc. ("Easy Beauty," "we," "us," or "our") is a Delaware-incorporated company operating the Easy Beauty platform at easybeautypro.com and its associated web and mobile applications (collectively, the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use the Platform as an Independent Beauty Professional ("IBP") or as a client.

By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Who This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to two categories of users:

  • Independent Beauty Professionals (IBPs) — beauty professionals who create an Easy Beauty account to manage their bookings, payments, and client relationships.
  • Clients — individuals who book appointments with IBPs through the Easy Beauty Platform. Client profiles are platform-scoped, meaning one Easy Beauty client identity works across all IBPs a client books with.

Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you create an account or use the Platform, we collect:

  • Identity information: first name, last name, business name (IBPs only)
  • Contact information: email address, phone number
  • Profile information: profile photo, professional bio (IBPs only)
  • Professional credentials: state license number, license type, issuing state, expiration date (IBPs — optional, for verified badge)
  • Service information: services offered, service durations, pricing, availability (IBPs only)
  • Payment information: bank account details for payouts (IBPs — collected and stored by Stripe, not Easy Beauty directly)
  • Location information: ZIP code, city, state
  • Communications: messages you send to Easy Beauty support

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Platform, we automatically collect:

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, clicks, session duration, device type, browser type, operating system
  • Booking and transaction data: appointment dates and times, service types, service durations, appointment outcomes (completed, cancelled, no-show), payment amounts captured
  • Log data: IP address, access times, referring URLs, error logs
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies: session cookies, persistent cookies, analytics identifiers (see Section 7 — Cookies)

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We receive information from the following third-party services:

  • Stripe: payment processing status, payout confirmation, and dispute information. Stripe's Privacy Policy governs how Stripe handles your payment data.
  • Google Analytics: website traffic and user behavior data collected through cookies on easybeautypro.com.
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram): website visitor behavior data collected through the Meta Pixel on easybeautypro.com, used for advertising and retargeting purposes.
  • AWS (Amazon Web Services): infrastructure provider. AWS processes data on our behalf in accordance with our data processing agreements.
  • Mailchimp: email marketing platform. If you join our early access list or marketing communications, your email address and name are stored in Mailchimp.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your Easy Beauty account
  • Facilitate bookings between IBPs and their clients
  • Process payments and manage payouts through Stripe
  • Send appointment confirmations, reminders, and notifications via SMS and email
  • Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries
  • Enforce our cancellation and no-show policies on behalf of IBPs
  • Verify professional licenses and issue verified professional badges (IBPs who opt in)
  • Improve and develop the Platform, including debugging, testing, and feature development
  • Train and improve AI features: anonymized and aggregated booking patterns, service durations, appointment outcomes, and scheduling data are used to develop and improve Easy Beauty's AI-powered scheduling optimization, pricing insights, and no-show prediction features. Individual identities are not used in model training.
  • Send marketing communications, early access updates, and product announcements — with your consent where required
  • Send marketing SMS messages — with your prior express written consent
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
  • Detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Serve targeted advertising through Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) based on your interactions with our website

How We Share Your Information

4.1 With Other Users

  • IBP profile information (name, bio, services, pricing, verified badge status) is visible to clients who access the IBP's booking page.
  • Client profile information (name, phone, email, profile photo) is visible to the IBPs the client has booked with. Clients' booking history with one IBP is not visible to other IBPs.
  • Client reviews are attached to the relevant IBP's profile and are visible to other clients viewing that IBP's booking page.

4.2 With Service Providers

We share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Platform:

  • Stripe — payment processing and payout management
  • AWS — cloud infrastructure, data storage, and SMS delivery (via Amazon SNS)
  • Google — analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (Google Ads)
  • Meta — advertising and retargeting (Meta Pixel)
  • Mailchimp — email marketing and early access communications

These providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to Easy Beauty and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Easy Beauty, our users, or the public.

4.4 Business Transfers

If Easy Beauty is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Platform before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4.5 With Your Consent

We may share your information with third parties when you have given us your explicit consent to do so.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Platform. Specifically:

  • Account data is retained for the duration of your account and for up to 3 years after account deletion, to comply with legal and financial record-keeping obligations.
  • Booking and transaction records are retained for 7 years to comply with financial and tax record-keeping requirements.
  • Marketing data (email lists, SMS consent records) is retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
  • AI training data is anonymized and aggregated before use — individual records are not retained in identifiable form for AI purposes.

You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time. See Section 9 — Your Rights and Choices.

Data Security

Easy Beauty takes the security of your data seriously. We implement the following safeguards:

  • All data transmitted between your device and our Platform is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security)
  • Data at rest is encrypted on AWS infrastructure
  • Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and is never stored on Easy Beauty servers
  • Access to user data within Easy Beauty is restricted to personnel who require it to perform their job functions

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights or freedoms, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Easy Beauty uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on easybeautypro.com. These include:

  • Essential cookies: necessary for the Platform to function. These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies: Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about how visitors use our website. This data is aggregated and anonymized. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Advertising cookies: the Meta Pixel and Google Ads tracking tags collect information about your visits to our website to enable targeted advertising on Facebook, Instagram, and Google. You can manage your ad preferences through Meta's Ad Preferences and Google's Ad Settings.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Easy Beauty does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The Platform is not directed to children under 13.

IBP accounts require users to be at least 18 years of age. Client accounts have no minimum age requirement; however, if we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information from our records as quickly as reasonably practicable.

Your Rights and Choices

9.1 Access and Correction

You may access and update your account information at any time through your Easy Beauty dashboard or profile settings.

9.2 Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your Easy Beauty account and associated personal data by navigating to your account settings or contacting us at [email protected]. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, subject to our legal retention obligations described in Section 5.

9.3 Marketing Communications

You may opt out of marketing email communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. You may opt out of marketing SMS communications by replying STOP to any marketing text message. Opting out of marketing communications does not affect transactional messages (appointment confirmations, reminders, account notifications).

9.4 SMS Consent

By providing your phone number and creating an Easy Beauty account, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages including appointment confirmations, reminders, and account notifications. Marketing SMS messages are sent only with your prior express written consent, which you may provide during account setup or in your account settings. You may withdraw SMS consent at any time by replying STOP.

9.5 California Residents — CCPA Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to Know: you may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
  • Right to Delete: you may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale: Easy Beauty does not sell your personal information. We do share certain data with advertising partners (Google, Meta) which may constitute a "share" under CCPA. You may opt out of this sharing through your browser cookie settings or the opt-out mechanisms described in Section 7.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

9.6 Illinois Residents — BIPA

Easy Beauty's professional license verification feature does not collect biometric identifiers or biometric information as defined under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA). Profile photos uploaded to the Platform are stored but not processed for biometric identification purposes.

Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. Easy Beauty is not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through the Platform.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email (at the address associated with your account) and by posting a notice on the Platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of the updated Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
